SIMS Parent App

Primary and Secondary Parents

We are excited to inform you that the school will be launching a brand-new parents app this December called SIMS Parent App. The SIMS Parent App will allow parents to instantly view their child’s daily attendance at the touch of a button.  In addition, a weekly attendance report from the previous week will be available for you every Monday evening.  You will also be able to receive your child’s school reports via the app. Parents will be able to view the school calendar, access a link to the school website and access additional information such as school trips and clubs.
The app can be securely accessed on any internet connected device. You will receive daily alerts informing you of any updates relating to your child. 

Secondary Parents
In addition to the above, you will also be able to view achievements and behaviour messages within the app.  Please note, that reflection messages will continue to be sent out in the usual way up until the end of this term Friday 16th December. After this time, you will no longer receive texts regarding reflections, as you will be able to see if your child has a reflection through the APP.  

We have attached the instructions below on how to set up and access the app on your mobile device. We recommend reading these through and downloading it as soon as possible to see the benefits the app has to offer.

Term, inset dates and your child’s timetable. You can also access your child's school reports. We will also send school messages to you through the app. Please make sure your phone notifications are switched on or you will not receive information from us. You will receive notifications to remind you about important information such as key dates for your diary. If you have more than one child at Woodmansterne, you'll have access to information for all your children from the same app. The information that you receive through the app will help you to stay up-to-date with your child's school life as well as support your child's development and progress.

Getting started with the SIMS Parent app
We will send you an activation email very soon like the one below, simply click on the link from your tablet, PC or smartphone to activate your account. You will then receive a further email to validate your email address. Please click on this to validate prior to logging into the parent app.

You can then login using your normal Facebook, Twitter, Google or Microsoft username and Password. From your smartphone or tablet, download the app from the Google Play or Apple App store- search for SIMS Parent. From a PC or Windows phone, login online at www.sims-parent.co.uk Please note that your activation email is unique to you and should not be used by anyone else. Your unique code will last 90 days. If you have not logged in before the 90 days your password will expire, and you will no longer be able to login. We have produced a video for you which we hope will help you set up your account.
