Trips and experiences
Opportunities beyond the classroom
We want our pupils to look beyond Woodmansterne and engage with the community around them and all it has to offer. We cultivate a love and celebration of the arts, both by working with local artists and making the most of our close proximity to central London. Pupils are taught the importance of healthy lifestyles and encouraged to collaborate, compete and value our community spirit. We expect pupils to develop their leadership skills through leading and nurturing our younger pupils in House events and clubs and supporting them in their learning.
All of this brings an additional dimension to learning at Woodmansterne. Pupils of all ages and across all phases are encouraged to share their expertise in a variety of ways. This includes supporting younger pupils with their reading and maths, leading groups of their peers in competition and House events and organising assemblies and charity work.
